昭和37年4月23日生まれ。九州大学経済学部卒業、経済学士。エネルギー会社勤務の後、地球環境への問題意識から大分大学医学部に再入学。医学部在学中に長男の出産をきっかけに産婦人科医を目指す。九州大学病院周産母子センターで新生児医療を含む周産期医療の臨床に携わる。九州大学大学院において胎児医学を専攻し、シドニー大学付属病院に留学、出生前診断の臨床研究を行う。英国 Fetal Medicine Foundation 胎児診断資格者であり、これまで1万例以上の出生前診断に携わり現職に至る。Born April 23, 1962. After earning a B.A. in economics from Kyushu University and working in the energy sector, he entered Oita University School of Medicine out of concern for the environment. The birth of his first son during medical school led him to obstetrics and gynecology. He practiced perinatal and neonatal care at Kyushu University Hospital, specialized in fetal medicine in graduate school, and conducted prenatal-diagnosis research at a University of Sydney teaching hospital. He holds Fetal Medicine Foundation credentials and has been involved in more than 10,000 prenatal diagnoses.
